Due to cup commitments the First Division programme was curtailed over the weekend with Llandysul grabbing the headlines with their first win of the season against Cardigan.
After Gary Lawrence had given the home side the lead the game was turned upside down by an excellent hat-trick from front runner Simon Davies which took the visitors to their first victory of the campaign.
Current champions St Dogmaels appear to have found their true form at last as they put five past Ffostrasol. Steve Williams, on his return from injury led the way with a well worked goal whilst there was also one apiece for Sam Orme, Dafydd George, Johnny James and Lee Burrows.
In the second round of the J Emrys Morgan Cup Lampeter hit opponents Sennybridge for six. Man of the match Mark Wilkins grabbed four with Terry Witts and James Gudgeon being also on target. Dave Evans, Dale Evans and Leo Penrose replied for the visitors.
Despite missing a number of first team regulars Maesglas still proved too strong for Dewi Stars. Two goals from Dominic Williams led the way with Phil Furney netting the third.
Crannog also missed a number of experienced players but still enough in reserve to beat Montgomery League side Llanfair United thanks to a goal apiece from Ed Ladbrooke and Mike Young.
It proved however, to be a disappointing afternoon for Aberaeron as they succumbed to a home defeat against Abermule. Goals from Jason Jones and Steve Smith did not prove enough as the visitors sneaked a last gasp victory coutesy of a delected goal.
In the same competition Bargod registered a narrow win over Aberporth while SDUC had the upperhand over Trawsgoed |
